Coffee + Conversation with Heather Lineberry

Join us for our inaugural Coffee + Conversation Series at GCAC. Engage with art professionals over a cup of coffee. This series facilitates casual interactions with those working in the art field. Each session aims at highlighting a different professional by generating a conversation about their work. Coffee, treats, and parking will be complimentary.

Our first installment will highlight Heather Lineberry, Senior Curator and Associate Director of Arizona State University Art Museum. She will speak about her current sabbatical curatorial work.

Lineberry curates contemporary art exhibitions with an emphasis on new art forms and collaborations across disciplines She is known for her experimental curatorial approaches.   Lineberry is also a senior sustainability scholar at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability.  Beginning in 2000, a focus of her research and curatorial work has been artists who explore the interconnected natural, built, social and political environment and employ strategies from visualization to engagement to shift our understanding and behavior.

In addition to curating exhibitions, Lineberry manages the curatorial department at the ASU Art Museum and oversees historic and contemporary collections. Lineberry publishes, teaches and lectures to university and community groups on contemporary art, museum studies and curatorial practice.
