The Cacophony Societies are disorganized groups of guerrilla artists, performers, and dada throwbacks in search of experiences beyond the mainstream. They gather for events that mock societal expectations, religion, and good taste. The Cacophony Society evolved from the San Francisco Suicide Club and its members were chief organizers of the Burning Man Festival in Northern Nevada.
